On 6 May 2026, I had the opportunity to attend AWS Summit Warsaw at EXPO XXI in Warsaw. The event gathered cloud engineers, architects, developers, and technology leaders from across Poland and Europe to discuss the future of cloud computing, AI, and modern infrastructure.

AWS Summit Warsaw

This year’s summit was heavily AWS-focused, especially around AI, serverless technologies, cloud modernization, and infrastructure automation. There were many technical sessions and customer stories showing how companies are using AWS to scale their platforms and build modern cloud-native applications.

One of the talks I enjoyed the most was the PayPo presentation by Krzysztof Wawrzynkowski, CTO of PayPo. I really liked hearing about the company’s history, how the platform evolved over the years, and how AWS helped support their growth and scalability journey. It was inspiring to see a Polish technology company building modern solutions at scale.

I participated in two very interesting sessions:

  • Deep dive on AWS Lambda durable functions
  • How not to shoot yourself in the foot: lessons from building AI products

But honestly, the most important part of the summit was connecting with friends and people from the cloud community. Events like AWS Summit are not only about technology - they are also about meeting people, exchanging experiences, and spending time with others who share the same passion for cloud and infrastructure.

AWS Summit Warsaw once again proved that the AWS community in Poland is growing fast, and it was great to be part of it.
