As stated on the official website AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty validates expertise in designing and maintaining network architecture for the breadth of AWS services. I’ve read a lot about this exam and most people said that it is one of the most difficult AWS exams. I have only taken 2 AWS exams before, so it’s hard to judge, but ANS-C00 was definitely a challenging exam.

Exam

I expected long questions and complicated scenarios and because of that, I went to the exam center. It allowed me to focus on the exam itself because I didn’t have to stress about technical problems that might occur when taking the exam online. Another advantage of taking the exam in the test center was the whiteboard - I drew some scenarios and it helped me visualize them.

Overall, my testing experience was great. The exam itself focused heavily on Direct Connect, VPNs, Route 53, Load Balancers, and VPCs, but hey - what else would you expect from the AWS networking exam?

Resources

I used AWS Advanced Networking Specialty course created by Adrian Cantrill and TutorialsDojo practices exam. I can’t recommend them enough. Materials complement each other and are worth every dollar spent.
